Charles is a born and bred Capetonian – he did his schooling at Kensington High and then completed
his B.SC at the University of Cape Town, and his MBA at the University of Stellenbosch.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Charles is currently the Enterprise and Supplier Development Manager at Heineken Beverages in
Stellenbosch. He has previously worked as a Project Leader at the Development Bank of Southern
Africa (DBSA), Business Development Manager at the CSIR, CEO of the GODISA Trust, and COO of the
Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA).
Charles has over 25 years’ experience in the enterprise and supplier development domain and has
been part of the Sustainability Team at Heineken Beverages for the past 6 years, where he has been
part of, and led, many agri-business and farm(er)-development projects – where the focus has been
on turning short-term projects into longer-term sustainable small businesses.
