Lindelwa Mabuntane is a qualified Town and Regional Planner with over 25 years of experience
across the non-governmental, private, and public sectors. She has held senior roles in
government, including as Director: Construction Industry Business Development, where she
contributed to key initiatives such as the Construction Industry Transformation Charter and the
establishment of key regulatory bodies, including the Construction Industry Development Board
and Council for the Built Environment.<\/p>
She has also worked with development agencies on rural empowerment and economic
upliftment strategies. Currently, she manages a portfolio of strategic property projects at the
Western Cape Department of Infrastructure, aimed at unlocking public land for investment,
spatial transformation, housing, and job creation.<\/p>
Ms Mabuntane holds a Master\u2019s in GIS and Remote Sensing from the University of Cambridge,
a Master\u2019s in City and Regional Planning from UCT, and a BA in Geography from Rowan
University (USA). She has also completed professional training in property development and
project management. Her work is grounded in a commitment to transformation, empowerment,
