Tasneem Rakiep serves as the Director of Supply Chain and Asset Management at the Western Cape Department of Social Development. In this capacity, she oversees the department’s supply chain processes and asset management strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and prescripts as well as improving procurement processes from an efficiency and effectiveness perspective given the tight fiscal envelope.
Tasneem Rakiep holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Management and Economics. She has 17 years of experience in the oversight of supply chain management. Her strengths are governance, compliance and policy writing and implementation. She has a flare for leading, capacitating and developing people in supply chain management and really enjoys building relationships with stakeholders. Being a former Provincial Treasury official, she currently actively supports the Provincial Treasury and its mandate, contributing to the repositioning of supply chain management in the Western Cape.
