She is a local government practitioner and has 27 years of experience in the implementation of social and economic development projects in the Public and NGO sectors and has a bachelors’ degree from the University of Cape Town. Her project management skills were further developed while involved in the implementation of enterprise development projects with the establishment of the Real Enterprise Development (RED Door) initiatives in the Western Cape Government. In May 2014, she was appointed as Manager responsible for Economic Development and Tourism at Drakenstein Municipality, the second biggest municipality in the Western Cape. 

She is currently the Senior Manager of Economic Development and Tourism and has been instrumental in facilitating the integration of SCM and LED  initiatives in the Municipality which now serves as best practice case studies in the Province. She has  a passion for the development of people and continues to plough back in her community through actively supporting worthy causes.
