I was appointed Director: Supply Chain Management from 1 May 2024. So far it’s been an amazing experience. I’m grateful for being surrounded by highly motivated and skilled professionals who have made my transition into local government seamless and while it has its challenging moments the satisfaction of making a difference by ensuring our people get the services they need provides a great sense of purpose. With my BCOM in hand from UCT I started my career towards Chartered accountant with the Western Cape Business unit of Auditor-General of South Africa in 2004. It was at the beginning of 2007 when I registered as a CA (SA) and was retained as an Audit manager before being promoted to Senior Manager in 2010 where I spent just over 14 years gaining extensive experience within local government governance and the City of Cape Town. I believe my unique set of skills and associated integrity and ethical values will greatly contribute to the continuous strengthening of the City’s supply chain management environment.
