He achieved the internationally acclaimed Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS-UK) Fellow status in 2012 due to his contributions to the profession.<\/p>    <p>Ronald is an accomplished business strategist who started his career almost 22 years ago in procurement and supply.<\/p>    <p>He was elected as CIPS-UK Congress representative for Africa with more than 20 000 members in more than 20 countries (2016-2019) and re-elected for a further 3 year term (2019-2022).<\/p>    <p>He is currently serving as a committee member for the Interim Supply Chain Council of South Africa, tasked with professionalization of Supply Chain in South Africa.<\/p>    <p>Ronald has conducted in-house Supply Chain Management training programmes for several companies and has lectured on the CIPS Education Programme (Levels 3 to 6) for many years, coaching and preparing students for the examinations.<\/p>    <p>Ronald is an accredited assessor on various Seta-approved Supply Chain programmes.<\/p>    <p>In collaboration with the Public Administration Leadership and Management Academy (PALAMA), he developed, as the subject matter expert, the Strategic Sourcing content for the South Africa Public Sector Procurement and Supply Chain management programme. Furthermore, he trained the National Treasury Senior Supply Chain managers on Strategic Sourcing. Including overseeing the \u2018Train the Trainer\u2019 programme at PALAMA now National School of Government.<\/p>    <p>Ronald has extensive working experience in various business operations, ranging from manufacturing (FMCG, Battery manufacture, Construction and Foundry), to print media and telecommunications. He worked in different capacities within the procurement function for 11 years, rising from Purchasing Officer positions to Group Procurement Manager.<\/p>    <p>He was involved as a key facilitator with National Treasury, when they rolled out the Supply Chain Management Executive Development Programme (2017-2018) which was rolled out countrywide to all the 9 Provinces with more 300 senior executives taking part. The programme was based on elevating the Supply Chain Unit in government as a strategic lever in achieving National Objectives and the National Development Plan 2030.<\/p>    <p>He also served as a
